We have five children three have attedned Bruner and one is there now . We have lived in one other state and one other county in Florida. The other two middle schools our children have attended do not come close to the standards and moral 's held at Bruner. The staff is extremely helpful and just

Max bruner middle school is an amazing school. When my daughter transferred down here from a school in new jersey, she hated it. When she started going to bruner she became happier. Bruner's academic programs are amazing. The fact that they have clubs [like beta] for the academicly gifted is amazing.
... Read more The availabilty of extracurricular activites is absoultey outstanding. Bruner has some of the best athletes in the county. With their undeafted football team and boys basketball, they show great work ethics and amazing dedication. Bruner is the type of school a parents dreams of their child going to. The fact that bruner has so many different things for parents to be part of is wonderful. This school is an enviroment that my daughter loves and absouletly adores. I am a seventh grader at Bruner and well I love it. I would not have choosen a different school to go to. Bruner is absoultely amazing. We have some of the best athletes in the county and amazing sports teams. Our football and boy's basketball were both undeafeated this year and they deserved it. I am

And our new principal, Mr. Spolski, is absoultely wonderful. He is a principal like no other. He is actually a principal that kids don't fear, but like. This is my daughter's first year at Bruner and she is doing very well, academically, physically, and socially. She is taking advance courses and maintaining honor roll. She's made alot of new friends and is very happy. I, too, have made new friends by volunteering with the School Advisory Council and

I was not too thrilled with the lack of communication between the school and the parents, but Mr. Spolski has started a monthly newsletter that is mailed to the parents, not given to the child, and it's helped tremendously. I wish 6th graders were given more chances to get into major sports programs. I just think we should start grooming the younger ones to replace the 8th graders when they move on to high school. I'm glad my child kept trying out until she finally made a team, it means alot to her to be a team player. Read less

First year here in Florida and at Bruner. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication between teachers and parents. I had to follow up on all request. I also found that the adminisration stood by the teacher no matter what the situation. I understand standing by your staff but not to the extent

The school is clean and organized. Teachers are friendly. The art teacher retired and art was removed. Still many activities to choose. My daughter was in all advanced classes. Homework load was tremendous, averaging three or more hours every night. Discipline and guidance is iffy. Some very good teachers,

I absolutely love the school! The entire staff is fantastic and we are treated with respect. My children are learning and developing the skills they need to face High School. Thank you Bruner! Bruner, as any school, is only good for those who are already intelligent enough to pass any school in this county. Children with learning issues are not going to get the adequate help they really need at this school. The Okaloosa county school district does not make it a priority for all the schools
... Read more in this county to provide special classes for these type of children. Bruner is a school that has extra help only in the regular class for children with learning issues. That is not good enough. I was not surprised to hear they are dropping art, but I bet they are keeping Spanish. I recommend Meigs, it has special SLD classes. Plus, they have better electives to choose from. However, I recommend homeschooling for children with learning issues. You have no FCAT, no doing teachers jobs after hours(homework), and no political brainwashing. Plus, our school lunches are disqusting. Read less

Advanced Placement
