12 Parent Reviews for David Posnack Hebrew Day School
I have to say as a parent of children that have experienced the lower, middle, and high school, i am extremely happy with the school. At Posnack the children learn secular, judaics, and most of all learn what it is to be a good jewish person/leader in society, which we know nowadays is far mor complicated
... Read more than years ago. They leave the school with a sense of self and pride that emulates into the communities they will be a part of in their future. Aside from that the secular studies are stellar. They offer AP, honors and on grade level so the school can reach out to all children. The environment is warm, nurturing, and the parents and kids feel a sense of "home". I would reccommend this school for any family looking for a fine jewish and secular education with many extras like sports, music, the arts, and clubs. I must say, being a part of Posnack is being a part of a bigger family . Read less

I spent many years at David Posnack, both as a parent and an educator. I can honestly say that so much of what occurs in this school (the middle school particularly) is inappropriate for children. The teachers are not professionally developed in a consistent and appropriate manner, parents tend to have

Read more more influence of who teaches and what gets taught than the teachers themselves, and worst of all, they are more concerned about their reputation than they are about providing an excellent academic education. It is truly sad that so many children's academic needs are not being met. I will say, however, that if your child is emotionally needy and has a difficult time adapting to a large school environment, this may be the school for him or her. The teachers do seem to care about the children in terms of their emotions. But if your child is very bright and needs to be challenged, stay far away from this "school". Read less

Our children have atteneded this school since kindergarden through 8th grade. The Davie Elementary is excellent in every way-from principle on down. The halls are too narrow, the restrooms are old and the facilities are insufficient. The food service changes annually none of which have been satisfactory.
