21 Parent Reviews for Bayview Elementary School

Bayview has been a fine school for my two children. Even in the early years, their teachers taught them about responsibility and accountability, leaving them well prepared as they grew older and moved on. I wish there were more time for P.E., art and music, and recess time can be scarce. We made up ...  Read more

Was a great school, but due to changes over the past 2 years, not so much anymore. No more ability grouping for math or reading, lack of individual attention.

I agree there is a lack of communication since the new principal took over; the school year is almost over and I have not had even one conference with my child's teacher, and not due to lack of effort on my part.

To that comment below.... you must have one of the 'good teachers' b/c getting a phone call or even an email has not happened in the past 4 years at that school. There is no communication with parents unless you make the effort.

I love the school. They taking care about children. The school has personal attention to any child, they work differently with different level on knowledge and reallign the knowledge by the end of the year. I read all parents' review and one of them was about that the school didn't treat the child as ...  Read more

This school is a great school. Many people think that this is the best to send your kid to. I do agree with them. The only problem I had was when my daughter graduated last year, they were babied if a project was bad they still got A's. Late work was accepted. Kids did extra credit. When my daughter ...  Read more

This is my daughter's third year (2nd grade) at Bayview. We love this school and they love their parent volunteers. They will take as much time as you can give them! This is great if you have the time to do it. The PTA works so hard and it is a pleasure to work together. The teachers and staff are very ...  Read more

This school has a very strong focus on reading, writing, and math, to the detriment of other activities such as sports or art. The school is very competitive and makes the children that way. It is a good school, but not for every child, and a parent will need to supplement with extracurricular activities.

This school is an answered prayer to me and my wife for our 2 daughters. A very good foundation for our daughters' personal achievement and spiritual growth. The school is a reflection of the good family values they learn at home. It is indeed an everyday challenge of joy and learning that we see in ...  Read more

The school has gone downhill a bit since the new principal took over last year. The school failed to meet any of it's goals outlined on the School Improvement Plan which is available for review online through the school district's website, the FCAT scores have dropped or stayed stagnant. The new principal ...  Read more
