Our public school experience was really bad. My son is doing much better. He still acts like a kid, but doesn't fight going to school. The teachers work 'out of the box' because of the principal, not in spite of him. The children leave this school with a great sense of self-esteem. They learn how to develop the 'whole child' not just a good high-stakes test taker.

* In 2008-2009 Florida used the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 8 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science.
