Jeff, the principal, understands the meaning of a well rounded education and that each child learns at their own pace and in their own way. My children went there all the way until highschool and they were more than adequately prepared for the academics and social aspects of public highschool. My son attended JG for roughly two years and I must say out of all of the schools he has attended, JG outshines them all. JG is the best kept secret in the Gainesville area!! Small classes, dedicated teaching staff, friendly kids and families. Jordan Glen is a wonderful, amazing, enriching school. (The parent who complained about the camp must not understand that the camp is something held by other faculty on the same grounds - it has nothing to do with the school at all.) ... Read more is very advanced academically, but is never bored or feels left out. Every child gets to go as quickly as they like. Also, Jordan Glen has tons of outside activities; not only lots of recess, but also, every child gets to choose his or her own electives in the afternoon. In kindergarten, my daughter chose soccer, pottery, yoga, animal fun, super silly science, and of course took music, social studies, and science. Every child there feels loved, every graduate comes back to visit. It is an amazing place. Read less

My child attended the summer program at this school and I was incredibly disappointed. The principal seemed vaguely annoyed and disinterested when I tried to engage in conversation about the program. I had high hopes for JG--I'm glad I used the summer to find out more about them.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
