I am the mother of a freshman who is finishing up his first year. He has had a wonderful experience so for both academically and socially. The staff at Saint Mark's are very helpful and quck to respond. I know we made the right choice for our son.

This school was horrible. It is overpriced and don't care much for academics. CSW is a much better choice if you are trying to get into a better high school. The students are not very friendly and I don't think that they treat all students the same. Don't go here

As parents of two other children who attended public high school, we were in a unique position. Our experience at St. Mark's was exceptional. Although our son entered the school knowing only one other student (we were from out of state), he quickly made friends and thrived. While no school is perfect,
... Read more St. Mark's came as close to perfection as you can get. They met the goals we had in mind for our son... by helping him grow and develop as a person and preparing him for further education and eventually a career. In our opinion, it's all about the environment, and St. Mark's offers what we were looking for... a learning environment. Read less

I am an alumni of St. Mark's & would tell any parent thinking about sending their children to this school to think twice. It is over priced & just like the last comment I read it is well known for substance abuse & the students that attend their are no better then students in public school if not worse.

I graduated from St Marks. The school has very nice facilities and opportunities for students. I did very well at the school and I found it very rewarding. However I was naturally good at academics. Our experience is positive (my son is a sophomore). Teachers are knowledgable, reasonable in parental interactions, and helpful. Testing out of Algebra I, Algebra II is challenging, his teacher helps him after school. Parents are notified of low performance/test scores. Grades can be accesssed online.

Activities/electives are abundant; with programs for non-competitive students. Mine took Intro to Guitar and blossomed finding a creative niche. Students are expected to be responsible (not coddled) for their class/homework as prep for college, don't expect hand-holding. The pace of the phasing program is excellent. Teens test the envelope; behavior will be commensurate with limit setting, discipline and values provided by the parent(s). The school reinforces this and sets an expectation of high academic standards, it's worth the tuition. Read less

I attended St. Marks and all that I can say is do not go here if you have any learning disablilty whatsoever. They would much rather not have to deal with any problems associated with any learning disabilities. This coming from someone in all Phase 3's, 5 being the highest just under AP. I would surely

If you have an SAT score over 1500 you will probably fit in here just fine. I would have had a much better education in an area public school, and my parents would have saved over $20,000 for the 4 years. They also resent the investment as much as I do for attending.
