I am a parent of two high school students both of which have been at WCS since Kindergarden. I am extremely thankful for the investment that the administrators, teachers, coaches, staff have made in the lives of my children. WCS is not a perfect school, but it is a place where learning is encouraged

Subjects are taught from a Biblical perspective and practical everyday Christian living is encouraged and modeled from the Bible classes and weekly chapels. Students are encouraged to use their God-given abilities for Him and be leaders in their school, class, team, and community. I have four children. Two are in college after attending WCS from K through 12th. The other two also started in Kindergarden and are still at WCS. My opinion of the school is very high. My son in college has done very well. I feel that WCS really helped him with discipline and preparation. My daughter
... Read more in college has just started but she got great scholarships based on merit and music. Despite the schools small size the sports program is very good (I am not a sports expert myself). The music program is excellent. The small jazz band finishes the fall and spring music programs each year and these events are a pleasure not a duty to attend. Each academic subject seems excellent. My family especially appreciates the math science subjects since Dad and Mom have technical degrees. Last and best, the school has a pure and decent Christian atmosphere. Read less

As a WCS alumni, I recommend this school highly to those parents who want to push their kids academically. WCS offers great AP and Honors courses. Even the college prep level courses are enriching and more difficult than public school courses. There are plenty of activities to be involved in and the
... Read more athletic department continues to grow and thrive. There is a good mix of socioeconomic representation as well (white, black, wealthy, middle class, etc.). My only concern would have to be that for some teenagers attending the high school, the Bible courses and chapel services could push a teenager away who is struggling with rebellion and who is questiong God , alienating them further from pursuing a life of faith. WCS is a great school academically, but it ended up pushing me further away from The Lord (due to some overly zealous teachers) until several years later down the road. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
