Read what parents are saying about Our Lady of Victory SchoolOur kids have greatly benefitted from their OLV education. The school spotted some difficulties one of our children was having with reading that had been dismissed in public school. We are happy that someone noticed it early, and we could get him the help he needed. We have been happy with the communication with his teachers on his progress and know he won't slip through the cracks in such a small class. Our other child would probably perform well academically anywhere, but she has really thrived at OLV. A small school and class size has encouraged her to break out of her shell. We also were pleased to find a real community at the school and have gotten to know our kids' classmates, their parents and the teachers and staff. The Catholic teachings focus on God loving you and you loving your neighbor, and we like the foundation it provides for going out into the world. It is a welcoming, liberal Catholic community.

Posted by a parent on 8/28/2020The school put intolerance before the health of my child. The school does not advocate for compassion and tolerance for those who are marginalized as LGBTQ. If you think LGBTQ will never happen to your family, and are OK with this intolerance, this school will certainly foster that "character" development in your child. But you cannot control whether LGBTQ happens in your family, and if it does you will have to rescue your child out of here hopefully before it's too late.

Posted by a parent on 9/30/2019My kids have been at Our Lady of Victory for 8 years now. We couldn't be more pleased with the school's academic program; its small classroom sizes; its generous and warm parent community; its strong and capable leadership and teachers. For a fairly small school, it still manages to hit all of the high notes including having a band; choir; strong athletic and art program. We are very pleased with our experience at OLV.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was bullied at this school at the begging of third grade. His teacher was a first year teacher who didn’t have social skill, also had no control over her class and vice principal asked that my son remain in an unsafe environment with daily physical and verbal bullying. I moved my child to a different school and he is now thriving again. I will say while he was at Taylor for 2nd grade his teacher was wonderful and my son loved Taylor. 3rd grade principal changes and teacher changed and we experience nothing but issues from August - November of 2022.Parent Review1y ago - The River School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBISW Student Here. The management and authority are horrendous. There is an extreme lack of communication between staff members, often leading to a negative experience for the students. Not only is the authority bad, as no rule seems to apply to anyone but it is also messy. The school faculty is very aware of what goes on between the students, they don’t know how to find a way to get respected and decide to make random accusations instead. A great level of favoritism is shown, specifically for white students that have been in the school for a long time. Anyone that doesn’t fit the ideal profile is looked down upon by most teachers, and the mental health accommodations given to students are unclear and poorly managed. The only good thing could be the teachers, who have to endure waking up every morning to work in such a terrible school. Some seem to have a passion for education, while others seem to be frustrated with their life and have no motivation to share their knowledge. Overall, it is a great school if you want a secondary system where 3/4 of the students have severe substance abuse issues that they can happily consume in the school premises. Never have I seen a bar better than the boys bathroom!Student Review5mo ago - Annunciation Catholic School
