25 Parent Reviews for Deal Middle School

Deal is a great fit for our daughter. She is in her second year there, and is thriving. The academics are good - she is challenged but not overwhelmed. And there are many opportunities for extra help, either during recess or after school. Almost all of her teachers have been helpful and responsive ...  Read more

This school is a zoo! Completely overenrolled, class sizes are gigantic and it is slowly but surely slipping. Parents feel like it is the only public middle school option so it is an overcrowded scary beast.

This middle school is the best in the city. It is very diverse and educational wise, it is outstanding. It is close to Tenleytown so the students can hang out after school. Deal offers ...  Read more

The educators and especially Principal Albright ...  Read more

The reason I did not give my middle school a higher rating is because, at sometimes this school can have it's negatives. Being ...  Read more

Alice Deal Middle School is an excellent middle school, and could even be called the best public middle in D.C. The teachers are fantastic, as well as the staff, who are, despite being busy, never mind having a chat with a parent or student! The education is challenging but rewarding, leaving many students ...  Read more
