Some commenters have noted that students at Greenwich Academy are snippy and unkind, which I have found to be untrue. Rather, I view them to be emotionally vacant. Students at GA generally are ambitious when it comes to colleges and prestige, and they simply don't care about cultural things or anything that doesn't directly apply to their mission to get where they're going. The students are good people who do the right thing who are empty vessels. While I was happy as a parent with the education my daughter received, it was obvious that her education was dragged down by the school's coordination with nearby Brunswick School. Brunswick's teachers were a mile behind what they had at GA, and the quality of student they had at Brunswick simply couldn't compare with the average GA girl. It's well-known in the community that Brunswick is a school for unqualified children of very wealthy parents, and the excuse-making leadership they have over there doesn't help. GA would be better off if it went its own way and didn't coordinate classes with Brunswick.I do think that Greenwich Academy is a better school in the lower grades than it is in the upper grades. Art and music are standout areas, and the campus is outstanding. If you go by appearances, GA has everything. What they need to be is more selective in their admissions. And did I mention ditching the association with the (grossly overrated) Brunswick School?

I have recently left Greenwich Academy due to circumstances not related to Greenwich Academy in any way. The high school is a slightly unfair place where how much the student's father makes affects the teachers help toward the student's college application. So if you are looking for a good high school, I do not recommend Greenwich Academy. However, their Lower School and Middle School program is amazing and any child's success will start there. Greenwich Academy teaches students to be organized, responsible, and healthy. Their lunches are all-inclusive, and they have many choices that are healthy with a reasonable amount of sweets to award the students.

Greenwich Academy is a wonderful school. The teachers are incredible, and they all have close relationships with their students, which I love. The curriculum is challenging, but manageable and definitely prepares you for college. Yes, there are some girls here who are not the nicest, but the majority of students are some of the friendliest and caring people you will meet. Classes are small, and the faculty and administration are really looking out for your best interest. GA really gives you every opportunity to succeed, and will go above and beyond to help you reach your goals. The sports here are top notch, yet there is also a great appreciation for the arts. Overall, GA is a fantastic school and you cannot go wrong sending you child here.
