Amity is overall one of the best high schools I have seen in CT. The faculty (98% of them) are amazing and truly want the kids to learn and aspire to great things. Amity is certainly an above average school. With Honors/AP classes, a caring faculty (for the most part), and many other opportunites like extracurricular clubs, sports, and drama, Amity provides a great education for students, as long as they are willing to work hard for it.

This is a great school with a lot of 'well to do' families. However, this has its draw backs..The number one thing the kids do on weekends is drink and do drugs, even the very smart kids. Deffinatly not all of them but a disturbing majority. As for the teachers, some of them are the best you will find

Many of the students have been brought to their knees by one of these awful teachers who do not know how to teach...Over all, a child has a great opportunity at this school and it is rated very high as high schools go. I think in general Amity is a good school. They offer a large number of electives for the kids which I think helps them to decide what they want to pursue for a career. I do, however, think there's alot of stuff going on with the kids and between the kids that the faculty isn't aware of that causes

Amity is an overly competitive school. GPAs are carried out to 4 decimal places, and the teachers are often more interested in showing how smart they are than actually teaching material. School starts at 7:34AM everyday and ends at 2:18PM. This is because they assume everyone will participate in extracurricular

Advanced Placement
