What an honor and privilege to have such a dynamite, vibrant parent and teacher community in Wallingford. Every teacher and the principal have an open door policy. From my weekly check-in email to my occasional note to a requested conference, not only was I warmly received, but regularly updated on good and not so good progress with my children's issues. Enrichment programs include art, music and an instrumental band. The sports program includes cheerleading, boys' and girls' basketball, boys' baseball, girls' softball, and coed-soccer. In 2007, our boys' varsity basketball team won the Archdiocese of Hartford championship and went on to the Regionals in Boston. In 2008, our girls' junior varsity and varsity teams both won the Archdiocese of Hartford championships and have also moved on to compete in Boston. I am a parent as well as an alumni of Holy Trinity School, and have had a wonderful experience with the community, teachers, and principal for the past 12 years. My daughter graduated 3 years ago and has excelled in both Math and English thanks to the advanced programs at HTS. My son will graduate

Every year Holy Trinity kids top the salutorian and valedictorian and area high school honor rolls. Where else can you combine moral values, dedicated teachers and principal, technology and superior team sport talents these days? This school was a disappointment. I had one child there for 4 years and another for 1. My son made the following comment,'The problem with Holy Trinity is that they do not care if you say prayers from the heart only that you memorize all the words.' The teachers are mediocre at best. Communication
... Read more is lacking. There are no enrichment activities. The kindergarten program leaves children behind the public schools in reading entering 1st grade. Most work is not teacher directed. Teachers lack the ability to control their classes so they yell. The administration is willing to ignore large bullying problems. My children were not being bullied but it is an overall problem. I expected from a Catholic school that the uniqueness and value of each child would be encouraged. The school has a very narrow box it wants all students to fit. They destroy self esteem if you don't fit. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
