I'm the parent of two children at BCDS. The school offers many positives as well as some negatives. On the positive side, it provides a very rigorous curriculum in the early formative years. ... Read more it prepares students to be academically strong as they enter the main stream in the 9th grade. On the down side, the fact that the school is so small means that there are some areas that can't be covered - especially in the middle school grades. The most glaring issue as I see it is a light weight music program and a limited sports program. These are important in the middle school years. I went to BCDS from kindergarden and am currently in 8th Grade. I absolutely love BCDS and am really sad that I have to graduate! I feel like the school is basically my second home and I can't imagine my life without it. I will miss it so much and I have to say, to me, there is NO better place to send

Bi-Cultural has been a wonderful school, not only for our children but for us as a family. ... Read more a competitive high school. Our son, who is a current student,has had a great experience both academically and socially too. The new headmaster, Dr. Kirshenbaum, has made improvements in an already fine school, strengthening the middle school, bringing new ideas and new programs, cultivating a fantastic teaching staff, and adding more afterschool activities, like league basketball and a full-scale musical production, to round out the program. We thought 2006/07 was a super year at Bi-Cultural. The school's 8th grade trip to Israel each year is an amazing experience for the students. We have been very happy with Bi-Cultural. Read less

I love bi-cultural day school. It is one of the best schools in the world! It teaches very well for english and hebrew. The hebrew is very helpful for parents who don't know how to speak hebrew but want to learn. Thank you bi-cultural for teaching my child everything she needs to know.

My son has attended Bi Cultural since Kindergarten. He is now in 7th Grade. Overall, we have been very happy with the quality of his education, the individualized attention he gets from the teachers, the responsiveness of the administration and faculty to our needs and the enrichment opportunities.

I went to BCDS from kindergarden to eigth grade. I had a great experience. The staff and students really have a family type feeling. I would reccommend BCDS anyday and I will never forget the great times I had there.

My children both attended this school and received an absolutely fantastic preparation for high school. They were both placed at junior level mathematics as freshmen. The school gives individualized attention and provides whatever enrichment program each student needs. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
