I am not over the top with this school like many seem to be. I feel that the staff is more concerned with reputation than events that how the children are actually affected. The staff will work with you on issues, but unfortunately it is usually after the fact, and the parent (though they "involve you")
... Read more really ends up having little say. I also feel that there is a SEVERE liberal agenda being pushed in some of the classes, and the students can't really have an opinion unless it mirrors the instructor without it reflecting in their grade. Read less

Fantastic Middle School with a great and caring principal who makes it her goal to know all of her students, a knowledgeable and caring staff of teachers and great kids. Academically it is challenging and also offers a superior music and art program. HJMS certainly prepares the students for the demands

We have been very happy with Henry James. The teachers are very accessible and always available via email, phone etc. The teachers and administrators are very involved and have very high expectations of the students. The grading is very hard at this school and the teachers expect a very high level

The school provides a challenging environment for the 7th & 8th graders. There is about 2 - 3 hours of homework per week night. Our daughter comments that the teachers are nice and they grade hard.

Henry James is a school with high standards of education and high expectations of the student from the teachers. Their music, art and sports programs are available to all students and students are encouraged to excel, showcase and particpate with their talents in all events. The PTA is very involved

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
