In regards to certain specific criticisms in previous reviews: Private schools, by their nature, need money by donations; if you send your child to a private school of any sort (including college) you will be getting these calls. Also, as of 2007, the average time each teacher has spent at Williams is 10 years. I would highly recommend this school to all. Read less

Our children were straight A students at our local public school (so proud!). HOWEVER, they rarely had homework and were not being challenged. Also, every year another extra curricular activity would be cut due to budget constraints. We moved them to Williams after learning of Williams exceptional
... Read more curriculum and reputation. We have been !! WOWED !! by Williams. The administration and faculty are focused on the best interests and success of the students. Our children, who never cracked a book in the past, have now learned how to study correctly. Williams challenges students and prepares them to be successful at college and into their adult lives. From a social point of view, Williams students enjoy sports, art, theater, Harvard Model Congress, you name it! The students are supportive of each other and I am convinced that our children have made lifelong friends at Williams. Read less

Excellent school which prepares students for college. Small enough so teachers know students, yet large enough to have a good offering of classes and sports. Extra help is offered every day as '9th period'.

Our daughter moved from Michigan to Connecticut and entered Williams in the tenth grade. Her former school's profile was quite similar to Williams. Her transition was seamless. The quality of academics at Williams is superb. The faculty extraordinary. The school strives to live its mission. Honesty

The level of academics would be good if the atmosphere was not one of hostility. When a child complains about being bullied they are ignored. When a parent complains they are told that the child is lying. They only approve of in school events. They strongly encourage students to drop any activities
... Read more that are not offered through the school. Parents will find out about games by reading the school website. No notices are sent home. Textbooks are a separate expense, not included in the tuition, and students are never given a list of needed supplies. Students are expected to follow syllabuses which may or may not have the correct assignments listed. Parents are later called to make a donation to the school. These calls will continue to come through out the year, regardless of if you have donated or not. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
