Read more parents that are involved basically because most of the pasrents are unsatified with the administration and the lack of communication and last minute notice on events occuring at the the school. There seems to be a lack of respect towards the parnets instead of thanking them and appreciating them for sending their child to this catholic school when there are two others down the road. There is a high turnover of teachers from year to year so I never know who might be my child's teacher until the first day of school. Read less

St Peter Sacred Heart is the result of a merger between St Peter School and Sacred Heart School which took place due to suffering enrollment at both schools. Danbury had 4 Catholic Schools within 3 miles of one another. 3 of the schools are less than 1 mile apart. If you widen your scope another
... Read more mile or two to the neighboring towns there's an additional 2 schools to choose from - it's no surprise that the schools compete for enrollment. We stayed with the school through the merger in hopes that the school would emerge in a stronger place. Unfortunately it has not. It's now been 2 years and the quality of the education has declined dramatically. There's a widespread dislike of the principal, high turnover of teachers and students, communication issues, disproportionate number of students needing remedial instruction and complete and total lack of parent invovlement. St. Peter was a good school until they combined both Sacred Heart and St. Peter. I would never recommend this school to anyone. Principal is a disgrace and the teacher quality is poor.

The combination of these two schools St Peter and Sacred Heart has been a nightmare. Poor teachers, horrible principal. Don't waste your money. Any of the other Catholic schools are better.

St. Peter school is an awesome school. I attended St. Peter for about twelve years. I now attend Danbury High school and am doing very well. St. Peter helped me to prepare for high school very well. I am in honors classes and am succeeding. The teachers are wonderful and they are very personal. I can
... Read more still go back to visit. Mrs. Ferry, the principal, was also very good. She is wonderful. She was always there to be strict with us if it was needed, or she would laugh and have fun with us. She is wonderful. My experience at St. Peter was a very good one. It may not be the right place for everyone, but it was for me. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
