There are many dedicated and great teachers at Ned, but also a few really poor ones. I would appreciate the principal being more aggressive in weeding out some teachers who are clearly not up to the task. On a positive note, the small classrooms and very open athletics (anyone and everyone is welcome

In addition, the whole student body at Ned seems very respectful to each other. Not as many cliques or bullies as other schools. My son began attending school at Nederland when he started seventh grade. He loves it there, and moving to a small community school has been the best thing I have ever done for him. The experience for him has been invaluable. On another note, he is excelling academically. As a junior, he has already taken three college courses, and he plans on taking more next year. The parent involvement at Nederland is fairly good, but it would be nice to see more of it.I would recommend Ned for that small school experience. Read less
