My daughter just finished Kindergarden 2008-2009. We love Littleton Prep! The teachers, enviornement and education are above avarage. It is amazing how much she learned and we hope to continue with Littleton Prep until 8th Grade.

Upon trying to discuss several issues either in reguards to my younger or older child I found a genuine uninterest from the administration and sadly the teachers. I have seen dramatic changes over the last two years- good staff and administrationa are leaving as well as the children are becoming more high need. Becuase the good teachers are leaving the quality students are leaving as well. Read less

My children both attend Littleton Prep and it is an excellent school! The structure and discipline is well formed, yet compassionate and beneficial. ... Read more between parents and teachers, in fact, a certain amount of parent involvement is expected at this school. And anytime I have felt I've not gotten enough feedback, or had a concern about my child - the teachrs and staff have been more than willing to listen, communicate or find a solution to the problem. While I strongly suspect my very precocious, active and easily bored child would be labelled a 'troublemaker' at other local schools, both my children thrive at LPCS. There is no reason to be bored - no child's needs or abilities are overlooked or unmet. It's great! Read less

... Read more the curriculum has not gone down, it is the school's participation and genuine caring for a student's success that has me disappointed. My daughter repeatedly gets the same remarks on her report card but with no assistance or communication from the teachers. She brings home assignments and tests with 80-100% and yet gets poor grades on report cards with negative remarks. The lack of communication and support from the teachers is heart breaking. I can't believe a school that offers such advanced material and education has failed to pay attention to the students themselves. Read less

Students wear uniforms. Discipline problems appear to be less severe than the average public school in its surrounding area. Music, art and sports programs are limited or offered on a part-time basis. The school is a good choice for parents wanting their child to get a good solid traditional education in an environment less prone to the types of social and discipline problems that can plauge many public schools, especially in the middle school grades. The teachers are truly fabulous, the curriculum is research-based and rock-solid, and the school environment is extremely positive and orderly, while still being 'kid-friendly.' This isn't one of those all-white, upper-middle class typical suburban schools. The student body is very diverse - something we searched for. The school has a unique leadership structure (three directors instead of one principal) that works very well and really utilizes each director's experience and strengths. Parent communication is excellent, with a great school-wide newsletter, website, classroom newsletters and prompt telephone calls. This school started with a fine principal and had rapidly increasing test scores despite drawing a lot of students who came with reading, math and language deficits. Advanced Placement
