My sons 2nd year . He seems to be doing well . I dont have any complaints more good than bad to say. I came from Ca and the schools there were just ok even the beach area of southern Ca! My daughter is qualified as gifted and talented by the state of Colorado and was in both the advanced math and language arts classes. Every day she would come home and tell me that all they did in language arts is have the teacher read a book out loud to them. They did not learn or practice any writing ...  Read more

I do believe that this school is probably one of the worst Middle Schools, I have ever come across. The social prejudice is ridiculous as a parent of two, I have never seen them so miderable. The method of punishment is ridiculous, the standards are non existant. Those are hardly the start of the problems.

I am a student here at EMS and I think that this school was outstanding and the best school ever! All the teachers there are awesome and nice and understanding and all the students there like me, love it and are kind to everyone and it's a very playful and learning school. Great school, great teachers, excellent office staff, advanced LA and math classes for advanced students, good variety of music programs, art classes varied but not a good program, football program is not too great either.

We've been shocked at the difference between EMS and suburban middle school. The handful of black students are subjected to racial harassment. The teachers discourage freedom of speech. Teachers pets are the norm. And standards are low to non-existent. The school board scandal and subsequent lawsuits ...  Read more
