Read what parents are saying about Community Christian SchoolThis school has high academic standards. The curriculum is God centered and a classical approach to education. The administration is firm; because they are overseeing that these standards are meet year after year and not compromised by popular opinion or culture. The day is set up in the four hours to cover the core subjects. The idea is with the child s day ending at school by 12:15, this gives the parents the opportunity to then pour into the child the rest of the day. Further exploring areas of Science, Music, Technology, Art, Sport and more. I feel even though the child does work hard while at school, beyond homework, they have the rest of the day to relax; play and dive into the areas were they have interests. Parents are required to participate because it is a cooperative. Working together toward the same goal. This requires parent participation. The teachers are the parents of students; they would not be sacrificing their time, if they did not believe in this type of education and the school. Children, who went to the school, now send their children to the school. I think this is a sign it works for those looking for this type of environment to grow academically.
Posted by a parent on 5/23/2014Fabulous parents and wonderful volunteer teachers. The minimum day is great for students through fourth grade, but more difficult for the older kids. The biggest concern is the lack of teaching computers and using up to date technology. The friends you meet will last you a lifetime.
Posted by a parent on 7/21/2013This is a homeschool in a school house. Your child gets the attention he or she needs, with a Christian curriculum . The school runs 4 hours with parents participating on a weekly bases. If you love to spend time with your children and get involved in their education then this is the school for your child. I have two children in this school and I love that its small, the kids are well behaved, and are all raised with similar values and expectations.
Posted by a parent on 5/31/2013For a Christian school, the administration lacks integrity. Any questions or concerns are pushed under the rug and your children are asked to leave the school. The children are just pawns.
Posted by a parent on 3/12/2013Wow. I am stunned of how many people love this school. Even though, I'm one of them. This is a great school, I totally recommend it for PreK-8th grade. Wish they would make a high school. :):):)

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you want to be discriminated against this is the perfect school for you. It’s a joke of a program from the top down. There are some nice teachers, but if you're anything other than typical get ready to be discriminated against. No homework given to kids so when they enter middle school they’re completely unprepared. Overall a poorly put together schoolParent Review1y ago - La Costa Meadows Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe social and emotional well-being of the students take a back seat at this school. They claim to understand the importance of mental health and its connection to academic growth but I have not seen it with the new administration. Staff is supported while the children and their feelings are not considered. I’m glad my child is graduating this year or I would consider moving her to another school.Parent Review2mo ago - San Elijo Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSEES is a special gem! The leadership at this school is phenomenal and the entire team of teachers/staff put so much love into what they do. Students are challenged academically and they are given the support they need to succeed. As others have mentioned it’s a large school, but a great one. Part of what makes SEES so special is the sense of community that helps students confidently prepare for the real world.Parent Review4mo ago - Poinsettia Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWeird vibe from teachers, principal, and office workers at this school. Rude to parents and horrible at teaching. Seems like everyone is miserable on a daily basis. Always begging for donations, and never enough for them. Poor money management when they get donations.Parent Review5mo ago - La Costa Heights Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLike others, we were excited to move into this neighborhood and LCH was a big draw. Unfortunately, our experience is not one I would recommend and we are currently seeking options to change schools for our family. The Principal is not authentic nor transparent and seems to have ulterior motives at all times. The school has refused our child services despite them having a diagnosed disability and learning difference and being behind grade level. They also teach from reading programs that have no scientific evidence that they can actually teach kids to read (they just teach kids to memorize). Don’t take it from me, there’s an entire piece of investigative research on this in Sold A Story. On top of all of our ongoing challenges, they make a big deal at the beginning of the school year on how even a few absences a year can lead to kids missing critical parts of their education and yet we’ve had a sub like 20 days this school year and it’s only February… Something needs to change at this school before I would ever consider sending a kid here.Parent Review1y ago - Mission Estancia Elementary School
