St. Charles Elementary School

Our family is very happy with St. Charles. We have felt welcomed and included in everything. The communication is great...not too much but just the right amount. It's a wonderful faith based school which is important to our family. It also really helped prepare our child for high school. We feel the things learned and the social aspects really have helped her thrive and be ready to jump right into high school. The staff is wonderful and as with all things child related, things are never 100% smooth but we feel the staff is very supportive, especially the principal. Covid times were especially hard but together I think the school did a wonderful job. We would highly recommend St. Charles for K-8.

We are absolutely thrilled with every aspect of St Charles School. Our child comes home happy, has received accommodations and support when needed, there is a huge emphasis on social and emotional learning, and strong academics. The community is inclusive and there are plenty of opportunities for connection. All of the staff have done an amazing job throughout the pandemic, especially Mrs Armando. She is an incredible principal and leader. Students feel cared for and supported. We receive consistent communication and feedback. Couldn’t be happier with St. Charles!

St. Charles is an exceptional school. There is a strong community feel amongst the teachers, students, and families. Everyone knows my children by name and cares about them as individuals. The school provides strong academics while also investing deeply in the students’ social and emotional growth and well-being. Throughout the pandemic, they have proven yet again that their mission is always to do what is best for the children. We are beyond grateful to have found this intimate and supportive school community for our children.

The first years it was great. Once Mrs. Armando became principal it went downhill fast and continues to decline.

We couldn't be happier with our choice of sending our children to St. Charles. While the public schools in San Carlos are highly rated, the values, community and faith on top of the fantastic academics that we have at St. Charles are extraordinary. The staff really promotes strong values and Christian faith. The children are all kind and inclusive and I have yet to see any cases of bullying. The parents are also friendly and very inclusive particularly to new families. If you want a place to just drop off and pick up your child and not be involved, this isn't a school for you. Parent involvement is required, which makes the sense of community much stronger. I feel very safe dropping my children off at school because I know everyone and that they are in good hands.
