Read what parents are saying about Bergamo Montessori SchoolI don't think I could say enough about Bergamo Montessori School. We have sent both of our kids here starting at 13 months and 6 months old. We searched long and hard for a school we felt comfortable with, we toured facilities and got recommendations and Bergamo was the winner. As a parent (especially a first time parent) it is essential that you feel like your child is safe #1 but also cared for. The amazing, amazing staff at Bergamo end up feeling like your family. The love they have for the children and their jobs is evident. I have never seen so many happy, sweet and caring individuals under one roof in my life. Not only does this school offer enriching lessons they also offer a loving safe space for your kids. If you haven't tried a Montessori school please do yourself a favor and enroll your kids. This place has given my children everything they need to learn self sufficiency a sense of pride and a love for learning. The facility is extremely clean, safety is a top priority and they are very communicative. Bergamo was the best decision we made and I love them all dearly. We are moving so I am extremely sad to leave but so grateful for the last 4 years!
Posted by a parent on 6/8/2022As both an employee and a parent, I am honored to be a fabulous Bergamo Montessori community member. When our family moved to Sacramento, Bergamo welcomed us with open arms. The administrators and teachers genuinely love their students and strive to provide an authentic Montessori experience each day. The two years my daughter spent in the Elementary program before she graduated were hugely impactful and irreplaceable - I am forever grateful!
Posted by a parent on 5/23/2022Administration is unethical and untrustworthy. It recently the Woodland campus abruptly, disrupting the educational path of dozens of children, traumatizing students and families, and destroying a cherished community. There was no transparency or inclusion with families in the decision-making. Many families had put multiple children through the school, supporting it for many years.

Posted by a community member on 8/16/2018We initially sent our daughter to another "Montessori" which ended up being a terrible experience. My daughter cried every day and her teacher would call screaming. It turns out that being dedicated to the teachings of Montessori really matters-and this is absolutely the case with Bergamo. (They are actually an accredited Montessori which is something to beware of with other schools that claim to be.)The facilities are clean, full of light and welcoming. The staff and teachers are wonderful. I have seen a world of difference in my daughter since she started with Bergamo. She is confident and happy. The other children are lovely and noticeably all incredibly happy. I have not only seen a difference in my daughter but in other children as well. The school takes the time to treat every child well and encourage them to feel confident and safe in their school space. Children that initially cried every day when dropped off are now some of the most outgoing and happy children in her class. The patience and compassion given to these children is obvious. They take the time to figure out every child's needs instead of becoming frustrated that your child perhaps does not fit into a strict box. I remember touring the school and being introduced to a little boy that began with them as a biter. He was so friendly and outgoing and I would have never known. They solved the problem of him being frustrated with a biting necklace, and explained that he wasn't biting people because he was mean or aggressive-but rather that he had not yet mastered the ability to communicate with other and that the biting was due to frustration. Well sure enough, the little boy flourished into being a chatterbox that no longer needed his necklace.(I toured another school that disclosed they had 2 biters-I was not comfortable sending my daughter there after touring the school.)This is by far a wonderful place to send your children. We feel very lucky to have found such a magical (it may sound a bit corny to describe the school as magical but it absolutely is!) andsupportive environment to send our daughter. It is a school that is dedicated to cultivating well rounded, confident, happy and curious children.
