10 Parent Reviews for Yuba City High School

Most Horrible school system I have encountered with all 5 kids. No security, no follow up. Alls they care about is your kid is there daily so they get thier money allowance. Bullies not punished, rules not upheld. Things stolen right out of classroom and scholl don't give a crap. Kid went from an ...  Read more

We have two recently graduated and one more on his way - most of the teachers our kids had were either very good or absolutely fantastic! (Thanks, Mr. Warmee, Mr. Yonge, Mr. Lee, Mr. Rongley, Ms. Albrecht, Ms. Cato, Mr. Barzil, Ms. Smith, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Webb.)

Yuba City High School has some of the finest teachers in the state. They are knowlegable, well-educated, and deeply concerned for the success of their students. The lack of respect they receive from the administration and to some extent the public, has diminished morale and held the school back from ...  Read more

The lack of parent participation and teacher's ability is evident in the horrifically low academic achievement. The quality of academic programs is fair. I don't believe the school strives for excellence so there are areas of improvement. There is a decent amount of availability of extracurricular activities including music, sports, academic clubs, and social clubs. From what I've witnessed there could be more ...  Read more

Low quality teachers, programs and administration

It has been a great experience. Mrs. Pomeroy is a wonderful counselor. The honors teachers in Chem & Math & History go way above & beyond to help my daughter. The office personnel in attendance are so sweet. I am so happy we moved her from Sutter High School - no comparison on quality.

The school itself is pretty good. The district and administration wastes dollar after dollar on excessive issues. For example: Thousands of dollars were wasted on adding air conditioning to a large no. of classrooms. yes the ac is good but 1 ac could accomadate 4 classrooms. Instead we have one for ...  Read more

Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled.
