Windsor High School's greatest assets to date have been its first two principals, Jeff Harding and Patricia Law. Both care deeply about students, about the impact of their school in the community, and about creating a great work environment. Consequently, most of the faculty are committed and supportive.

No school is perfect, and getting three kids through was not without issue, but Mr. Harding and Ms. Law provided exemplary leadership and fair administration. Harding and Law set the bar high. I was one of the first graduates of this high school, proudly graduating with the class of 1999. He knew all of our names and most of our parent's names! I can not say enough about the teaching staff. As this is a new school, they all have recently chosen WHS as the place they want to teach, and it is apparent. And in turn, all were hand chosen because they were the best. The impact that WHS teachers have on their students lasts a lifetime. In short, your children would be lucky to experience a Windsor education. Read less

Unfortunately, this is a school that suffers from a definite lack of administrative courage and vision. The general attitude of most students toward academics is summed up in one word: apathetic. There are major attendance issues and discipline problems because of poor administrative guidance. For

This may work in some abstract theoretical discussion, but in terms of actual public education, a teacher is a teacher and must be allowed the freedom to deal with upset or concerned parents; a parent is a parent and not a client; and a student is a young person in need of guidance and knowledge, not stuffing. Rather than worry about Public Relations and bribing students with prizes for test scores, academics before apathy. Negative API says it all. Read less
