All these reviews make me laugh do you guys really believe these people like really? Some of them DONT EVEN ATTEND THIS SCHOOL! If you want to know something just ask one of the students like me, I'm doing very well in this school better than I have in any other school, since I've been here. All those ...  Read more

THE BEST: Small learning communities are taking off and putting more power in the hands of teachers--some of these programs are really amazing! PROS: VHS is in an upswing and is attempting to improve quality of life and education for students through extracurricular activities, electives, Academies, ...  Read more

This school is just terrible. All the kids here are just a bunch of idiots. All they do is praise shoes like if they were Gods. Some our ridiculously out of control. They fight for the stupidest things. Like girls will fight each other over for boy if they're thirsty, be called a bad name, etc. The boys ...  Read more

This school practices social promotion, promoting students to the next grade up even if they got F's in all their classes. Some kids start high school even though they have not passed a class since the 6th grade. Kids are pushed into Algebra 2, Biology 2 and even French 2 who failed Algebra 1, Biology ...  Read more

If you even lucky to have a teacher, I doubt he or she would be able to control the class. I find it sad that this school is so ridiculously stupid. The whole place looks like a prison and I agree with that. Since most of the students are monkeys who can't last a single minute without a fight or argument ...  Read more

Vallejo high school is by far the worst school ever, it looks like the kids are in a prison environment as far as the inside of the school looks, the teacher doesn't care about the actually learning of the kids as long as they get there pay check. I can't blame the teachers for it all though, the kids ...  Read more

Crafting critical thinking skills takes a backseat to crafting politically progressive opinions. As long as the students know what they're supposed to think, many of the teachers don't care if the students know how to think.

I attended Vallejo High back in the 80's and it was a mess then...a student was stabbed in the hallway and the student who did it was never disciplined. One of my teachers used to enjoy telling us that she was "only here for a paycheck" The school is old and not maintained. I would never send my children ...  Read more

The school is a joke. The teachers are too preoccupied with chasing an agenda to actually confer facts. The school district could save itself tons of money by shutting down the school and sending these kids to the library.

Great teachers and administrators. The school offers vocational education.

* In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled.
