My children, Alex and Anthony, both attended this school and are now both in college - SFSU and UCSD. Their friends who also attended Hogan have either completed college (Cal or UC Davis, Cal Poly). All 3 of my children graduated from Hogan High School. Yes, there were issues at times, but issues that could happen at any school. If you or your child plans on attending Hogan High School i would recommend that you get them involves in sports and keep trying to stay involved with there school life, grades, and discipline. The administration is overwhelmed as is with the everyday troublemakers so sometimes it is hard for them to get back to you about your child. But stya involved do not give up. I am a former student of Hogan Senior High School. While the school may not be the best form of secondary education, it surely is a work in progress. The environment is often the displeasing part but QUALITY teacher DO exist and as an undergraduate at a UC, I am living proof that it is not impossible

I participate in my childrens activities, academic progress, and athletics. What would happen if I didn t!! Parents have to battle for their kids. If we don t current conditions and attitudes won t change. One positive thing is the afterschool program. I do however, wish there was more math help. Overall HHS is mediocre, but better Hogan than any other Vallejo public high school. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
