... Read more administration intervention on behalf of the parent. The elementary principal is extremely rude and condescending(except if you are extremely wealthy). The nice teachers don't last long in this environment. Very clique-ish amongst staff. The fact that it is a family owned and operated business makes it stale and uniform in operations. Not open to futuristic advancement( spanish not taught thoroughly or routinely as offered, not enough computers in classrooms at elementary level). Read less

... Read more students are here but the teachers too. She is the only one that writes complete answers that are several sentences long. The teachers just don't seem to care and have given the kids here a LOW standard to get away with. I LOVED the school and really enjoyed all of the teachers too.... I ESPECIALLY thank VAP for Homework Club! It was well worth it! I would put my two young ones in VAP in a heart beat. AND I would recommend VAP to anyone in the area! Education here is Not worth a penny. The public school system in Temecula is better. The administration is rude, and does not respond to questions or concerns.. They act like they are doing you a favor whenever they speak to you once they have your money. They are very clearly driven only by the almighty
... Read more dollar, not by a passion for educating youth. They are completely inflexible. If you decide to send your child to Van Avery, you will find that out rather quickly. Children are behind their peers in public schools particularly as they progress in the grades and the teachers are uninspired. They do not want parent involvement and are arrogant and condescending. Very Very dissapointed Parent after several wasted years at the school....much happier with the local public schools. Read less

If we had known then what we know now...we could have saved 3 years of our daughters education and spent that time and money elsewhere! This is our final year at VAP. No it's not the economy...we are heading to another private school. VAP administration are rude, condescending, narcissistic, money

Last minute fees, costumes, field trips, etc. They do not allow parents to have or view their students standardized test scores without a much dreaded appt with owner. They will not let you know how the school rates with other privates or publics in area. When you walk in office to pay, they don't even look up - much less call you by name or mutter Thank You. During events, they rope off front row seats at performances for their family - who are late. Read less

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
