50 Parent Reviews for Cupertino Middle School

For the past two school years the campus has been undergoing major expansion. Often the staff seems overwhelmed and tends to manage in a way that in effect "warehouses" students. This said, the teachers are highly qualified. The students generally come from very good homes. Most of the parents are hard ...  Read more

Academic "Lord of the Flies" - School is highly focused on keeping their API test scores high at all costs which overrides all aspect of a balanced education. Our daughter needed some help in one subject and was shuffled into special ed where she watched videos in math class instead of learning. We ...  Read more

Cupertino might not be the best of the best academically, but still this school is outstanding in certain areas, mostly math. This school is super bad the kids are bad and my kid hate this school. The worst part is they don't have a proper cafeteria. If you are a parent and you are reading this, do not put your child in this school and you have to pay for everything.

I graduated in 2009. I don't know how the school is now, but back then it was great. Some teachers were awesome, some weren't, but the majority of them were good. Academically, very nice, but socially? Boy I hated it. The cliques were strong and I was bullied. The office WILL crack down on bullies if ...  Read more

I was a student at Cupertino Middle School the last three years, and I thought that there were some pretty great teachers there. However that the administration did not do a very good job at all; very little was communicated to the students, staff, or parents. Also, it seemed that the counselors' main ...  Read more

I am a student at this school, and I get the feeling my teacher hates me. He would also ignore my questions. I'm not sure if they are on purpose. Without asking questions, i can't learn. Once in a while, i get insults. My mom also is s kind of mom that likes helping and participating but she would always ...  Read more

California
* In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
