We have been at Los Ranchos for 4 years now. I believe that it is about as good as a public school is capable of being. This school is often out of touch with reality. I have seen above average children recipients of more educational attention than those with special needs. Teachers will send students off to receive additional aid without parental knowledge. Shouldn t the parent be informed if their child is lacking a

Academically the school is outstanding. The staff are all very experienced and quality teachers. Unfortunately, the majority of the students come from very effluent homes and this has had numerous positive and negative results. Students many times lack a sense of respect and responsibility. Parents

As the poster before me said most of the parents at this school are looking for the popularity vote rather than what is best for the children. It is in a rich section of town and the teachers respond to the rich parents and leave the kids of the middle class kids to themselves.

Nearby neighborhoods often lure teachers into forgetting that there are 'latchkey' children in their classes, and children with parents who may not be looking into the best interests of their students. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
