... Read more hard work by staff and parents who are always their in huge numbers to support any effort. The academic program is rigorous, sometimes too 'test-focused' but many kids excel here where they might no elsewhere because of the individual attention and push toward achievement. While budget cuts have plagued the District and many programs have suffered in other schools, PTA and community business have stepped up with thousands of dollars in funding to keep the school strong and varied in its opportunities. Parent involvement is tops at this school and it shows! Academice programs exceed the pace of most, with high 800 API...despite budget cuts, PTA has stepped up with more funds, lots of community support. Crowded, but new school for 2007.

It appears that the school teaches to an accelerated mandated curriculum. The scope and content of the work is excellent, however with budget cuts the school removed early/late Math. The teachers are overburdened and do not accomodate the slower/advanced learning needs of it's particular students.

Advanced Placement
