We love Phoenix Ranch because they take the time to know their students and their parents. They know every family by name. They are caring and patient and academically challenging in all of the right ways. My daughter has been learning Spanish all the way through school, can be in choir, band and

I'm not sure why one reviewer felt 'nickeled and dimed to death' here. This school actually has fewer fundraising activities than public schools! It's cheaper than other local private schools, and you really get a lot for your money here. This is a fantastic school where the kids are always challenged.
... Read more The tuition is money well spent, and the kids get a well-rounded educational experience. The families here are so down-to-earth--not what you find at most private schools. The administration is great--they know most children and parents by name, and always make time to discuss matters at hand. Classroom enrichment activities are phenomenal. At a time when the public schools are losing teachers, Phoenix is more valuable than ever. The one-on-one attention each student gets can't be rivaled elsewhere. Teachers truly know each child's strengths and weaknesses, and work with them on an individual basis. Our family is extremely happy here. Read less

Wonderful school! Only slightly more expensive than the less-than-great local Catholic school. Funds go to teachers and programs, not a big, fancy campus. Campus is small, but organized and very clean. The kids are challenged and happy. The teachers WANT to be there, and are terrific at communicating

Classes are broken into groups by students' academic strengths. Class sizes small, although larger this year (18:1 in some grades--still better than public/Catholic). Most grades are 12:1. Kids also have PE. Sports and other activities offered for 3rd grade and above. Cons: No auditorium for gatherings; all activities are scheduled during the day when some parents work. No whole-school unity. Grades are broken up across campuses. No parking. Overall the best school around, though! My kids love it! Read less

This school makes you pay for little extra items on a constant basis. Not sure why there can't be a more efficient way to do things. You sort of get the feeling that you are being nickle and dimed to death.

My oldest daughter is in her second year at Phoenix Ranch and my youngest will start in the fall. There are no more fundraisers (fewer actually) than most public schools. The front office and administrators have always been friendly and helpful to us any time we had questions or concerns. Parent involvement is always encouraged and appreciated. We have always felt welcome at the school from the moment we took the tour - a feeling that ultimately led us to choose this school over another local private school. Read less
