We love this school. The teachers and staff are so friendly and the students are really down to earth and nice. The curriculum is adequate for college, if the student is willing to put the work in, the curriculem and support system is there for the student.

West Hills is a great school, with an amazing staff who take a genuine interest in the wellfare and happiness of their students. The social activities are fun and safe , they have an excellent athletics program , and a beautiful campus.

Hey, it's not at all a bad place to go. You've got your regular peer pressure, etc, but the teachers are all pretty col, and freshmen tend to do well throughout. :)

I wish I could say I agree with these other great reviews. Our experience has been that 60% of the teachers are very proactive and really care about the kids but a full 40% are not well trained, not well managed and have a high percentage of failure within their own classrooms. I'm currently an 11th grader at West Hills, and I love it. I struggled near the end of elemantary school, and didn't even get to walk through graduation at the end of middle school because I did so bad, but now my grades are very rarely below C's. I can't say I've never got a C or below in a class, but
... Read more it doesn't happen a lot, because the teachers make it easy for me to raise my grade and keep it up. They always help me when I need it. I also like all of the options for classes, there are so many different classes that I wouldn't have even thought a school offered, and I like that I have a wide variety to choose from each new year so I'm not always stuck with classes that don't interest me. I have two sons at this school and have had only wonderful interactions with the school. Our school counselor is experienced, knowledgable, and answers our questions quickly. Maybe we have been 'lucky' but we have one honors student and one college prep student and none of their teachers talk about

Advanced Placement

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
