... Read more is fun and kids are taught how to think. The principal Mr. Forster is fabulous and all the teachers are loved by my child. This is a great place for students looking for a very small school experience where everyone knows everyone very well and students can be more then a name. Because it is small there are limited curriculum choices, however AP is offered, electives are creative and kids are encouraged to take classes at the local community college for High school credit. The small student population is well rounded with smart, kind and tolerant peers. Read less

My son has attended Cypress since entering HighSchool , His grades have gone from C's and D's to A's and B's . I have never in my life seen such a change in scholastic behavior . I have to credit that to the wonderful and professional staff headed by Mr forester and the caring and nutaring atsmosphere

The fact that the periods are on a 'double Period' schedule gives the students enough time to absorb the lesson given by each teacher , work on that lesson in class immediatly and then complete any homework with a much better understanding of it. In regular public school tyhere is only enough time for the instructor to give the lesson and then the students are excepcted to remamber what they were told hours earlier in class. The principal here, Les Forester, is very interested in the students and their success. This gets mirrored by the faculty and staff. Class sizes vary but are always less than 30. There are a minimum number of sports available due to the school size and the leadership program has provided at least one social event per month during the school year in addition to organizational activities and community service. This is the 3rd year of our school and my son's second year. I am grateful for the commitment and communication of our teachers and staff. All the typical cliques of a 'regular' high school are here, just much smaller populations - which I think is great because they all have to learn to work and learn

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
