My child is very happy with this school. This upcoming school year she will be an 8th grader in and extrodinary advanced band, geometry, and all honors classes. She has made very good friends and she can't wait to get back. She will also be trying out for the Girl's Basketball and volleyball teams. Also,
... Read more this year they are starting football and soccer. She attends the After School Academy. There she has been involved in many different activities that they have to offer, along with being Toto in the Wizard of Oz remix the children wrote. The staff are great also. Melissa Gillie and Anika Ferree, she comments, are two of the greatest adults she has ever met. Personally, I believe that SMMS looks like a run down school, but if my child is happy that keeps me happy. That's why I have Crusader spirit! All about the maroon and gold! Read less

... Read more been two of the most enjoyable years of my existence. I have made great friends and had great expiriences. The administrators have been great. Mr.Rodrigez(A.P.) and Mr. Randall(principal) are the greatest. The teachers are also fun to be around. Mr. Coleman,Mrs. Alvillar,Mrs. Flanagan,Mrs. Reeves, Mr. Love,Mr. Strathairn,Mr. Preyess,Mr. Munn, Mr.Aguilar, Mr.De La Barra,Mrs.Gilman, Ms.McGuire, and Mrs.Roberts-Hegyi. Even though they teach different subjects they have made huge impacts in my life. I play the clarinet in the Advanced Band(06-07) and the conductor is extremely patient and picks out nice selections, even when he doesn't have much parental help. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
