... Read more enrichment, the facilities, and their relationships with Lowell High School next door and SF State down the street that bring extra helpers to the campus each year. Our son is in the before school program, Everyday Magic, which he loves. They also offer an excellent after school program. At our recent Back to School Night we were impressed by the Kindergarten reading program and the math curriculum- Everyday Math. Lakeshore is my elementary school, and it's the best school i've ever seen. Clean, good students, good learning. Absolutely no complaints. And the teachers are great!!!! My favorite teacher was Mr.Rich. Keep going!

Lakeshore is a great school. It has an active parent body and lots enrichment opportunities for the kids. It's one of the larger elementary schools in SFUSD, but somehow manages to maintain a small community feel. The new principal has provided excellent leadership.

The new principal has brought a great breath of fresh air to the school. Safety is a priority. She and many other Lakeshore alums return to the annual Spring fundraising event year after year to see their old school, teachers, and friends again. I especially liked the diversity (ethnic,cultural, and economic) that I found at Lakeshore which truly reflects that of San Francisco. If I were looking for elementary schools (instead of high schools!)I would definitely choose Lakeshore again. Read less

My younger child just graduated from Lakeshore, and overall it was a wonderful experience for both my kids. We went through a major transition with a new principal and a wave of teacher retirements and replacements. My older experienced the 'old guard' and my younger the new wave. Both got a solid education

Advanced Placement
