They are more concerned over the dollars than the child. They have unprofessional administration staff, the priest in charge has no interest and passes the buck when it comes to issues he should be concerned with. It's too bad to say that St. Ferdinand has not been doing a good job. One of my childen gratuated from there with low grades only to go on to high school doing very well. I took my other child out, only to learn he was behind in every subject. The teachers often have favorites, have no respect for the

It's a sad day when a private school is behind the low scored public schools. The kids in this school are not getting the basic foundation of a good education. My children suffered greatly because of this school and are still playing catch up, a lot of the parents have their children in kumon to help

I have put my kids in another school there are several children from st ferdinands in the school that we now attend and they are all having the same problems there was no basic phonic or reading taught to these kids, had I got a reportcard with signs of my child not doing well I would have worked with them more but according to their report card they were doing well. I recently sent in more of a rebuttal to the review that another person had written in. I failed to state that most of the children that come to summer school here are schools in the surrounding area. I think this school does a great job. Remember we are in a lower income area.

I feel that the Arch. needs to take a look at the staff (principal and teachers). Some should have retired and others are not capable of teaching students to the point that they are required to attend summer school (@St. Ferdinands summer school = high $$ child care and no education) at other schools
... Read more it is because the children are not being taught what they need. Teachers state missing assignments on report cards and when you meet with them they tell you that sometimes the assignments are turned in but too many students to grade all papers. If you $$ enough they let your kids do what ever. Mr. Ramirez is great. Emergencies in the school or lock downs they do not inform you of anything. Needs to be audited by Arch. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
