I'm a former student. I was NOT in magnet, yet had ALL AP/Honor classes. I was continuously challenged! Mr. Muller is one of the greatest english teachers; Mrs. Cardoso for Science; Mr. Morgan for math... I am glad my daughter attended SFHS Magnet. She was challenged by all of her teachers and she has a close bond with all Magnet staff, faculty, and peers. As a parent, I like knowing what is going on with my daughter at all times. If she was absent, I got a direct phone call from Sylvia (the magnet

Most importantly (for me at least) is that my daughter hated reading and writing until her tenth grade year with Ms Alvarez. Now she has Ms Haynes who she equally adores although she is just as rigorous as Ms Alvarez. She also loves Mr Beck, who is according to her the sweetest and most knowledgeable man. I am a 2001 Alumni, this school has a lot of programs that children will benefit from, Project Grad, Avid, Student Gov. and Leadership, and Magnet. I was a Magnet student that transfered to this school my Junior year. It was the best 2 years. My Counselor was very helpful in choosing the correct courses

San Fernando High School is a school where many opportunities are available and students have many options open to then. As a Project GRAD student they can get experience with tutoring, community service, and they can actually study abroad. Many students have gone to Thailand, Australia, Brazil, Costa

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
