... Read more bright child is put with others who barely know their multiplication table. She is bored because of the slow pace she is taught at and I am afraid she might be falling behind. Awesome school. Our children are high achieving/gifted and they have been challenged at every level at Pershing. Dynamic leadership and the teachers are just amazing. Nurturing and safe campus. They have completely prepared my kids for high school. Small school atmosphere on a large campus.

Pershing Middle has been a great school for my daughter last year and so far this year. The principal regularly greets kids as they arrive in the morning, the VP's are active and visible. The teachers have been professional, caring, and available after school. The band teacher helped secure 1st place

The availability of a new engineering program this year is exciting and was my daughter's choice of elective. The drama department is very active with 2 productions offered every year, and most interested kids are encouraged to participate. Pershing is a fantastic school! The sent 120 students to the Greater San Diego Science Fair, they will have an engineering lab in the Fall of '06, connected to www.pltw.org, and the scores continue to go up every year. Student safety is not an issue as they have an amazing staff which looks out for

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
