This is an excellent school. The teachers are highly experienced and very committed to their work; they certainly put in much more than 100% effort. Level of parent involvement is similarly good, as is the Principal. All this makes for a top-notch school environment. There are many extracurricular

Great new principal! Lots of AP and honors classes (ex: AP-Art History, Environmental Science, European Civic, Honors Precalculus, Oceanography program is phenomenal!). Academics, at this school, are so challenging that they have a tutorial program for all students available on a weekly basis. This

i absoluteley love mt. carmel. not only is everyone there amazing, they welcome new people in open arms. iwent there freshman year, and instantly made a new clique of friends. unfortunateley i moved to colorado, but if i had the choice, i would definitley move back and finish school there.

My daughter and I have both gone to this school. I've found that the school has only improved since I left in 1989. MCHS prepares children for college, giving them all the necessary classes to qualify for the UC system. It has a wide variety of classes available from the basis level to the very advanced.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
