My daughter attended for K and 1st grade before we decided to move to another school. Her last year there really contributed to our decision to move to a private school. I volunteered in the classroom and witnessed hours of wasted instructional time expecting the kids to do over an hour of 'independent'

The teachers are wonderful. They take the time not just with the students but the parents as well. My daughter has improved by leaps and bounds, she impresses me daily with what she learns.

This is the best school ever. I am so glad I decided on Hardy when my daughter started Kindergarten. All the teachers are great, Mr. Marshall was an excellent principal, we will miss him greatly, he knew every student by name. He retired at the end of this school year. We have meet our new principal
... Read more briefly and he seems great too. The school has a small student body which makes it 'homey'. The kids don't get lost in the crowd. The school has an art teacher and a permanent art room. This is great for the kids, they love going to art every week. The PTA does many assemblies and extra activities for the kids. They invest a lot of time and effort to give the students the best. Parents are greatly involved in school activities. SDSU students does PE with the kids as well. A+ Read less

My son attended Hardy since the 3rd grade. The school is awesome. The teachers really take a vested interest in the students success. I would recommend this school to anyone in the district. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Wilson were the most in depth teachers I have ever incountered.

This school is almost perfect. The teachers are supported by the wonderful parents and the principal makes sure the school runs smoothly. The school's program is outstanding. PE is taught daily. Hardy elementary is a great school! I have had two kids graduate from hardy and a 3rd in a year! The teachers are exceptional. And as for the principal mr. Marshall he is the best. He knows every child by name and greets them every morning in the traffic circle. My kids loved and still love hardy!

The Principal greets all children every morning by name and is out there in the afternoon to say good-bye. The classes work smoothly and diligently and get the most out
... Read more of the students. There is ample opportunity for parents to volunteer and be involved at this school. Classroom work was paced so that students could work at an accelerated pace or slower pace as needed, not everyone having to plod through at the same time. They work with SDSU students for tutoring, and have after school classes for a variety of interests. This was an incredible school and I'm glad my child had that experience for elementary school. My son has attended this school for 2 years (K-1st). His teachers say he is extremely bright, however the school isn't equiped to handle exceptional students. The principal is uninvolved in student-teacher-parent issues, and passes these issues off to the school counselor. Suggestions can be made

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
