Doyle has a very tight bond with the UCSD campus which is only a couple of miles away. Grad students, visiting scholars, faculty, and staff send their kids here. As a result, Doyle is made up of an extremely diverse group of kids, motivated parents, and better educated parents. The diversity is a

The diversity totally crushes any sense of community. The same visiting scholars and grad students move on quickly. Each year, we see some of my son's best friends come and go. I do not reallly understand all the negative reviews. Both my children (Grade 1 and 4) love their school and their teachers. Both teachers are very qualified and easy to talk to. It has only been a month, but we've been disappointed with Doyle. The communication with parents is very poor. We have not been happy with Dolye. Lunch time is loud and chaotic. This school is diverse but there is not enough staff to deal with this diversity.

The administration touts the stats showing what a 'great' school Doyle is. Wrong. From my experience many of the kids who are testing very high on the state tests are very often at Doyle only briefly -- they move back to their home country or to another area of SD or move to a Seminar school. The
