i cannot say enough about how great this school is. the campus culture by staff, students, and parents is amazing. we've had teachers initiate contact with us when they are concerned about something AND to tell us how great our child is doing! (how often does that happen?!) whenever we have had to approach

Pleased with the overall academic quality of all classes, and with the professional expertise of the teachers and staff. I like how the school is pretty much in 'elementary school format'. 5th/6th graders have more opportunities (journalism, drama, band, orchestra, ASB, etc.) here at Dana than

Some parents commented on the staff being unresponsive to children who are disruptive or bullying. I had a similar problem - except it was at the oh-so-touted Sunset View Elementary (one of the K-4 schools that 'feeds into' Dana). I have been very dissapointed with Dana Middle School. There has been a lot of aggresion. Teachers are not very skilled in discipline areas, Pettty misdemenors are overly discoplines. Bullying issues are dealt with inadequately if at all. Overall very sad state of affirs.
