I feel that Encina is an all right school. The teachers very much do care and try very hard to teach. One teacher especially Mrs. Begg, my Honors English teacher. We are now creating a campaign to make the school lunches better. If the school luches were better more students would be motivated.

Poor quality of education. This school is another waste of tax dollars in the San Juan USD. Parental involvement by the administration is not well received at all. I wonder if they have any sort of 'plan' at all.

I feel encina could benefit from having more funds put into their school. The students are lacking in their sports quality of coaches which if the student is a well rounded athlete this could hinder his chances for a athletic scholorship. The uniforms are non-existent which affects the spirit and attitude

I am currently A student at Encina and I think that there are a few teachers at this school that really care about the success of their students. ... Read more of the reasons we are considered a 'low performance' school is the way we get tested. Considering that we are on a block schedule we do not get the same chance to be tested right after after we take the class that we are being tested on. Unlike other schools who take the same classes all year long. Although I do think that we have many dedicated teachers. There are some who just dont care. Overall I think that Encina is an alright school. But could be improved. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
