Administrative staff are functional. The teachers we have had the last two years have been great. They are all about learning and seem to enjoy their jobs. There are lots of extra programs for the students. Do not go here for the Band, you will not like your experience.

Do not let the beautiful campus fool you like it did me. Heritage high school has proven to be unable to provide the necessary recources that us students need to excell. All they are doing is disengaging students from learning, especially special needs learners (gifted students and struggling learners). At Back-to-School nights (both years), all of the teachers who are coaches identify themselves as coaches first, then as teachers. This pretty much sums up what their priorities are. Instead of designing hands-on or interactive lessons to initially teach the concepts well, they spend most of the time at end of grading periods designing extra credit projects/make up work because so many of their students are failing.
