Rancho is a very good school. I feel so fortunate to spend my senior year there. I was an exchange student from Vietnam at that time, and just only one year at Rancho makes me miss it a lot much more than I think. The teachers are very very nice and so sweet to sudents. They are really smart, helpful

I graduated from Rancho last year and I never knew how much I would miss it. It's not the best looking school but there's no issues with learning or making friends. i think rancho has a long way to go before it is able to show the smae amount of support to all of its students. the teaching is only subpar and it offers special programs for the students that dont speak engilsh, for rancho to be able to be truely a good school i think we need to have more oppertunities

My overall opinion of this school is positive. I think the school does offer courses for academic students to excel, and also offers classes for students whom struggle in certain subjects. Rancho Cotate is Sonoma Counties best kept secret!Since Joe Williams became principal everything has changed! A strong leader makes a huge difference. The staff and faculty are proud of their school, as are the students. The new band teacher has doubled the size of the band and they have won many awards.
... Read more The AP program is very successful. 74% of students taking AP testing passed. The national avg. is only 60%. Our sports teams are top notch. Our selection of extra-curricular activities, clubs and groups far out number any other school. Add to that the 9 phases of improvement (the new auto body and first response programs and 3000 seat football stadium this year) and Rancho is your best bet! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
