I have been around Norte Vista high school since 1996. My brother went there, I went there and my little sister went there. I have never seen or been a part of a program that wants to improve their students standards. I was not the best student when I was in high school there but I do remember all
... Read more of my teachers from my freshman year to my senior year and I can not say there is nothing that they did not try to do to improve my education and help me for college. I also have seen many administrators at Norte Vista and I have to say that Ms. Roy, Mr. Campos and Mr. Herreras are some of the best I have seen anywhere. Like any school it has its problems, the only difference is that novi doesn't kick students out of its school for doing below average work like many other high schools do to keep up with their reputation. Many of my friends who attended novi went straight to really good universities, they have the resources

Coming from a student who went to a California Distinguished High School rated in the top five in the state and also attended novi, i would say people don't give novi the credit it deserves. If your kid is a slacker don't except the teachers to babysit them, after all they are in high school! and if you expect them to go to college i recommend you tell them to get their head straight because there is no babysitting in college. I am currently a student at novi and this is my 2nd year here. I am a juinor and i am shocked! My freshmen year was spent at Canyon Springs out in Moreno Valley and the difference is huge.... Well i will admit novi isn't the best school but it does have great programs for students who really actually
... Read more care about their education.... On the other side, well it's not so peachy and shiny... we've only been in school for a week so there hasn't been too many fights, yet!!! But I know they are coming. As far as the teachers go, you have to find the ones who care and who actually want to be there and who will dedicate time to the student. I've been a teacher at Novi for 10 years. My observation is there has ben a huge change in the demographics since I started here. We are always struggling to make improvements. As we do make some then a new group of students come along with even greater needs. I believe the majority of our students

norte vista is a great school. at first i was scared of that there was fights and violence but once i got there i met alote of commited students and teachers at this schoo... i wouldnt go to any other school... besides if the student achives or doesnt achive its all on the student ....its not the schools

Advanced Placement
