7 Parent Reviews for Summit Intermediate School

This school has a great band teacher. A good number of projects throughout the year. Admin and assistant principal are easy to deal with.

This year has been a disappointment. New assistant principal is hard to deal with. She has little respect for parents. Teachers, though, have ranged from decent to great.

Used to be a great school- not so much anymore. No extracurricular activites or sports.

Consistent, caring, community - all words to describe school/teachers/administration. High expectations yet balanced approached. Kids can be kids.

Summit intermediate school's success can be attributed to a combination of a strong and positive administrative presence and academically strong teachers. Team work shines in every aspect of the school environment.

What a wonderful place for kids. A caring staff and compassionate administration enhance the total package. Struggling with size, the focus is still on our students. Wish they had two sets of books for all students in each subject.

* In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
