Granite Hills High School is one of the most under rated high schools in Porterville and it really shouldn't be. This school is an excellent school with a beautiful campus that outshines nearby schools. It's Academic Decathlon team wins county competition every year and goes to state competition. It's online newspaper, the Grizzly Gazette, has been named a top three winner in the nation from the NSPA Online Pacemaker

It's AP program has the highest pass rate in the district, and it has more students go off to college after high school than any other high school in the district. With great teachers and a very very nice and involved principal, who wouldn't want to go to Granite Hills High School? Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
