... Read more so good about themselves. She truly enjoys the kids. The Principal for this school is very involved and doesn't talk down to the kids or teachers. He seems intelligent and he seems to really care about the safety of the kids and is interested in teaching the kids how to take care of their bodies, brains, and friends. They are exceptional. The reason that I didn't give the school a 5-star is because the office secretaries are less then helpful, so don't let them discourage you from signing up your children. Read less

We love this school. We moved from San Francisco, and La Tercera was a perfect choice for my 1st grader, as the school is very welcoming. She loves her teacher, and is excited to learn. Parents are very involved.

La Tercera is a truly great school! I had one child go from K to 6th and loved each year more than the last. She has been given a fantastic foundation for Junior high and beyond. I have tow more children progressing up the grades and they always love school. Summer is much too long for them. They want
... Read more to be at school with their friends, their teachers and they are learning so much. They are encouraged to excel and try their best. The community of teachers is supportive and caring. We had a fabulous lower grade experience but the upper grades have been lacking in academics. The school district changed the math program and the kids are not responding well to it.

My 5th grade daughter has been going to La Tercera since kindergarden. We chose this school for it's parklike setting and because at the time it was debuting a full day kindergarden program, the first in the district. We are amazed at her progress each year. ... Read more have never had a 'bad year.' Our PTA is extremely active and supportive, our Principal is proactive, knowledgable and a good leader. He arrived at our school almost 2 yrs ago, and has taken our test scores up. This is a great testament to the commitment our admin. and teachers give to our children. We accomplish alot on very little budget, fundraising is a constant and welcome part of enriching our children. The quality of friendships are top notch,this community of parents and children and teacher's alike are bonded together for common goals. We love La Tercera. Read less

La Tercera has a strong academic program with dedicated teachers. Band is available after school. Music and art enrichment are provided. We are currently working on raising funds to have a PE teacher. Many great parents at this school.

This school is wonderfully nurturing. The teachers are caring and warm and my children have thrived academically. It is everything that I would want in an elementary school. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
