My son just finished Kindergarten at Los Amigos and will start 1st Grade in one week. We're excited. The teachers are great and their principal Mr. Heinrich is an awsome advocate for the kids. Faculty and administration seems caring, however; clerical staff and the nurse are absolutely rude. The do not follow through when they promise a return phone call and it is more than obvious they cover each other's faults. The teachers are great and wok very hard. The waythe class is combined for english and spanish each teacher has about 60 students they are responsible for, as a result they are often overwhelmed. I would like to recommend a spanish class istead of the dual program. This way their main teacher can

WOnderfull duel immersion program. Teaches students english and spanish and is very active in making sure parents and students work together to create hard working students. More homework than traditional schools but well worth the effort in the long run. I highly reccomend!

One big down side of this school is that they don't offere the daily After-school fun centers and the Carney Programs, that are usually offer at other schools in Palmdale. The vision of the school is great, except of the lack of leadership. My kids have been attending this school for the past 3 yrs
... Read more since kindergarden. Teachers seem to be absent alot, and when this happens usually they don't have a permanent sub, but a different substitute every day. The option of changing into another teacher, is almost imposible. Big politics, lots of favoritism. Read less

All children are commended for their academic efforts. And the use of uniforms is great which contributes to a large equality between the students. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
